The Angels have been grounded.

Last month, sequester cuts grounded the Blue Angels and several other aerial demonstration squadrons. This will be the first time that the Blue Angels, Thunder-birds, and Golden Knights, will not fly over the graduations of Annapolis, the Air Force Academy, and West Point. Even though I am several months removed from the Air Force Academy, I can't help but to sympathize with senior cadets who have waited several long years to throw their hats and become officers as the screaming jets fly over. Emotions aside, this was an easy decision for our government's leadership to make. In fact, I used to go to school with a technician that worked on Thunderbirds, and one day during a thunderbird demonstration, she told me that the cost of fuel for a year was over $20 million dollars,  and on average, $300,000 per show. It makes sense, the military is not recruiting as hard as has in the past few years, and their are few and fewer slots being aloud at the academies. The situation is unfortunate but hopefully the grounding will only be temporary and we will see these marvels fly once again someday soon!

With the possibility of World War 3 still in the air, I thought it may be appropriate to discuss North Korean Supreme Leader, Kim Jong Un. Since assuming power, Kim Jong Un has quickly dismantled years of diplomacy. It seems I can't watch tv without seeing something about Kim Jong Un. Whether it be Dennis Rodman seeking peace with the Dictator, or Saturday night live ridiculing is boyish appearance  After seeing his numerous threats of American destruction, I can't blame the media for ridiculing him so harshly. In Fact, I would like to share some of my favorites so far.
Looking at you
In this picture, Kim Jong Un reminds me of Augustus Glute from Willy Wonka. Hard for me to comprehend that he has the power to start world war 3!

Who wore it best?
I stole this one from thechive.com, their caption asked: Who wore it Better?

Looks aside, is it seriously possible that Kim Jong Un means his threats? Or his he just trying to make his presence known as the new kid on the block?

Tiger Woods is BACK!

With the Master's quickly approaching, Tiger Woods has already bagged 3 tournament victories! Making this season Tiger's best in the past 5 years, however; this is not the first time Tiger has had back to back tournament wins going into the Masters. Unfortunatley when it happend in 1999 he ended up loosing by five strokes after holding the lead for through the third day. Hopefully, this years tournament will be different.

I myself  have always been a Tiger fan, growing up my first memory of golf is watching Tiger be awarded A green jacket it 2001. I have followed him from there and always admired his play whenever watching golf. As we all know, in 2010 Tiger's personal life imploded as a result of a car accident. Overnight the seemingly respectable family figure was destroyed and stoned for his extra-martial affairs. With the destruction of his family life, the destruction of his golf game quickly followed. For the last two years, Tiger has gradually been showing glimpses of his former self and it appears that now he is back to his old ways. As a Tiger fan, I hope this Tiger is here to stay and I especially hope he wins the Masters.

No Value Brackets

I was recently informed by our very own athletic director that because I am no longer aloud to partake in bracket betting. The reason for this being is that I am currently a competing NCAA athlete and if I am found guilty I could lose my eligibility. That's fine I wasn't going to make a bracket anyway. I have lost all hope for the NCAA tournament, especially after the following players left after their first year of play; Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, John Wall, Derrick Rose, Kevin Love. Half of those players could still be in college if they had not decided to leave early. Could you imagine Kentucky if John Wall and Anthony Davis were still on the team? That would be an unstoppable force, oh wait, Kyrie Irving and the Duke squad could probably give them a run for their money. Unfortunately it’s all about the Benjamin’s. Therefore in my opinion the NCAA tournament will never be what it was decades ago

Sorry I didn't post this one on time, been battling a cold and severe sleep deprevation. Now, many of you may agree with gun control, and I'm not saying its a bad thing but its something that we cannot allow the govenment to get out of hand with (like the income tax). Consider this, In 1982, the Kennesaw City Council unanimously passed a law requiring heads of households to own at least one firearm with ammunition.     The following year there was an 89% drop in the crime rate and it has continued to say down since then. To this day Kennesaw claims to have the lowest crime rate for a city its size in the country. Well, you can't really argue with these stats. I am by no means a die-hard gun advocate however if it were up to me, every household in this county would own a gun. If I were a burglar contemplating breaking into a house I would deffiently reconsider my occupation if I knew that every house I entered had a loaded gun waiting for me.

Well guys writing about the Pope just doesn't seem relevant to my life right now so I hope you don't mind me talking about spring break. Let me fill you in, so the girl i'm on spring break with rented a house for five guys and 18 girls. However (i didnt know this) she didnt tell the land lord that guys were staying. In fact, Jada(the girl in charge) agreed with the land lord to not allow any guys at the house. The first two nights were fun. Well the next morning around 10:00 am while I was eating fruit loops, the land lord's son showed up and demanded we leave the house. Immediatly I had to pack all of my things and leave. Sounds simple right? No, not when you decide to bring your boat with you down to the beach... (bad Idea) After that I found myself sitting in the Bass Pro Shop parking lot, homeless with no place to go. We spent about three hours in that parking lot before we went to the chili's parking lot where we ordered Chili's to go and ate it while sitting in my trailerd boat. Long story short, Jada came through with the buzzer beater and bought the five of us a penthouse suite. As of right now I am sitting in a recliner looking at the ocean from the 15th floor sipping on a Mai Tai.  Life complete.

Valentines day

From a young age, I have always been skeptical of Valentines day. My father always told me, "Son, when you get a little older never start dating a girl between Thanksgiving and Valentines day, if you do you will be one broke SOB." As I clicked "confirm order" on Flowers.com I realized he was right. Out of all the B.S. holidays, Valentines day is by far the worst. Do I not show love and affection, every other day of the year? The only reason I actually do anything for Valentines day is out of fear that my significant other will be upset with me.

Why does valentines day have to be about her? Why cant it be about the man. If Valentines day were about the man, the advertisements would be black and there would be red flames in all of the commercials. Instead of buying jewlry, women would buy tickets to sporting events. Im not saying we should reinvent the holiday, i'm just saying we need to reevaluate the male role in the equation.
